How We Raise Our Kittens

British Shorthair Kitten Breeder
Welcome to our page for British Shorthair kittens available at La Bella Vita Cattery. Registered with ANFI and affiliated with FIFe, we specialise in breeding healthy cats with excellent breed type and certified pedigrees.
Our kittens are the result of responsible breeding, informed by careful study of bloodlines, conformation and temperament. They grow up in a home environment, with attentive daily care from their first weeks to support both their health and behavioural development.
We pay particular attention to early development, which is essential to raising a confident, well-balanced cat that feels at home in family life.
Cats Raised in a Family Home
All British Shorthair kittens at La Bella Vita Cattery:
- grow up in our home with close human contact
- are familiar with normal household routines, sounds and everyday activities
- are socialised from their first weeks of life
- encounter a variety of experiences to build confidence and adaptability
- develop the gentle, balanced temperament characteristic of the breed
Our aim is to raise healthy, contented British Shorthair kittens, well prepared for family life, while maintaining high standards of health and conformation.

What Comes with Your Kitten
Each pedigree British Shorthair kitten goes to its new home only when it is physically and behaviourally ready, generally no earlier than 14 weeks of age, with the kitten’s welfare as our priority.
Your kitten comes with:
- an ANFI pedigree recognised by FIFe
- completed vaccinations
- documented veterinary health checks
- a microchip registered to the owner
- reliable litter tray habits
- full weaning onto high-quality solid food
- parasite treatment completed
Before going home, every kitten has already begun a programme of care and socialisation that helps it settle into its new family, keeping stress to a minimum and making the transition as smooth as possible.
We also provide detailed guidance on feeding, everyday care and welfare to support new owners through the first few months, a crucial stage in a kitten’s development.
We remain available for ongoing support, advice and conversation, because we see our relationship with our kittens’ families as an integral part of our work as breeders.
