The British Shorthair is one of the world’s best-loved cat breeds, admired for its elegant appearance and even temperament. Affectionate yet undemanding, these calm cats are ideally suited to family life.
Distinctive features include a sturdy, compact body, a round head with full cheeks, large, expressive eyes and a short, dense, plush coat.
Welcome to La Bella Vita British Shorthair Cattery, a small, dedicated cattery breeding British Shorthairs with ANFI pedigrees in full accordance with the international breed standard.
Our aim is to raise healthy, well-balanced, thoroughly socialised cats in a family home, with attentive care from their very first days.
La Bella Vita Cattery is registered with ANFI (the Italian National Feline Association), a member of FIFe (Fédération Internationale Féline), ensuring recognised pedigrees and responsible breeding.
At our cattery, we carefully select our male and female British Shorthairs, taking pedigree, conformation, health and temperament into account.
Every breeding cat plays a part in our programme, helping to preserve breed characteristics, sound genetics and balanced temperaments.
Meet our cats:
Our British Shorthairs live in our home, sharing our everyday lives. They grow up familiar with household sounds, people and daily routines, developing gentle, calm and balanced temperaments.
For us, breeding is above all about ensuring welfare, health and quality of life.
That is why we pay particular attention to:
For us, breeding means more than selecting beautiful cats. It means creating the right conditions for them to live happy, healthy lives, with their natural needs respected.
Every cat at La Bella Vita Cattery grows up with attentive care and heartfelt affection.
Because, first and foremost… we are a home where cats are part of the family.
